Clinics and Services
These clinics are held at Escreet Grove on Monday mornings and at Plumstead Common on Thursday mornings. Please book your appointment in advance through the Consulting Room.
We offer full family planning advice at the practice.
If you have been advised by the surgery to submit a contraceptive pill review, please complete the Contraceptive Pill Review form.
For eight week checks and first immunisations, pre-bookable appointments are available with the doctor. Subsequent immunisations are with the practice nurse on Tuesdays between 13:30 and 15:00, on a first come first seen basis, at both surgeries.
All other problems e.g. feeding, sleeping and child health worries can be discussed with the health visitor. The health visitors are based at The Brookhill Children’s Centre, Woolwich.
We now offer a phlebotomy service to both our own patients and patients from other practices on a walk in and appointment basis. This means that there should be no more waiting at the hospital, you will be in and out, quickly and professionally.
An influenza vaccine is particularly recommended for patients with heart, lung or kidney disease, diabetes and residents of nursing and rest homes. Please contact the reception staff in September for details of the vaccination dates and to make an appointment. If you are unable to attend the surgery a home visit will be arranged to undertake this facility.
The doctors are happy to carry out medicals eg insurance, driving licence etc, by appointment. Please telephone the surgery for an appointment. Ask at reception for the charges for these services.
Travel Clinics (These clinics are held at Escreet Grove Surgery only)
Travel immunisation and travel advice is available each day; please book an appointment to see the nurse. Certain vaccinations are not available on the NHS; please check for any charges when you book an appointment.
If you are travelling abroad please make sure you complete the Travel Risk Assessment form in plenty of time to arrange any vaccinations that may be necessary.
Yellow Fever immunisations is only available at Escreet Grove Surgery. Please book an appointment at reception. There is a charge for this vaccine; for details ask at reception when making your appointment.
Wart and Verruca Clinic
This clinic is not being held on a regular basis at present. Please ask at our reception and one of the girls will be able to give you an update regarding appointments..

These clinics are available to suit our patients’ requirements and are not set out on specific days. If you would like to attend any of the above clinics, please book an appointment through our Consulting Room. Alternatively, you can telephone 020 8854 0157 (Escreet Surgery) or 020 8854 0229 (Plumstead Common) and book an appointment with reception.
Nurse, HCA and assistant practitioner clinics
Our practice nurses, assistant practitioner and health care assistant provide the following appointments:
- Blood pressure – if you have been advised by the surgery to submit your blood pressure readings on a regular basis, please complete the Blood Pressure Review form.
- Stitches & clip removal
- New patient check
- 24 hour blood pressure (wool only)
- Diet advice and cholesterol
- Dressings (not complicated dressings)
- Child immunisations
- Smoking cessation – if you have been advised by the surgery to submit a smoking review on a regular basis, please complete the Smoking Review form.
